It’s been a while since I’ve shared some of the albums I just can’t take off repeat, so I figured I’d let you all in on my current top 5 (plus a few that I’m having a hard time waiting for!).
Made in the A.M. (One Direction)
If you know me, you know I like this group. And by know me, I mean all you have to do is follow me on social media to know how hard I’ve fallen for this heartthrob boy band. Before you go all, “ugh not that bubblegum pop” I’m going to ask you to first, chill, and second, give it a listen. This album’s sound pulls from a lot of past decades, so whatever you’re into, it may just float your boat.
Delirium (Ellie Goulding)
I’ve been beboppin’ around my apartment for the past week (and my roommates have posted several embarrassing snapstories as evidence) and I just can’t stop. Ellie’s unique voice, paired with her usual electronic sound has created magic, once again on her third album.
Purpose (Justin Bieber)
The inner 13-year-old me is in hysterics over this album. You guessed it, Bieber fever is back. This upbeat album can get you hype for literally anything and make you want to pop, lock and-yes-drop anywhere.
Glorious (Foxes)
Okay, okay, so this fun, synthpop album was released over a year ago and I’m a little behind the times. However, Foxes is a U.K. artist so I’m blaming long distance (and momentarily pretending the internet doesn’t exist) for the delay.
Know it All (Alessia Cara)
Sharing your debut album’s release date with Justin Bieber and One Direction has to be intimidating, but I just want to let Alessia know, I’m loving it. If you liked the sound of Cara’s single “Here”, you’ll be as obsessed with this album as me.
25 (Adele, release date: November 20)
So we’ve officially moved on to the albums I can’t wait any longer for, and I think we’re all on the same boat with this one. I heard “Hello” and am so thankful Adele said goodbye to her break (that was probably the worst joke ever but I tried). Side note: when will Adele and Taylor Swift collab?!
All I Need (Foxes, release date: February 5)
Since catching up to the music trend known as Foxes, I’ve been craving more of her music, and was beyond psyched to learn the release of her second album is in a few short months!
I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful, Yet So Unaware of It (The 1975, release date: February 26)
First of all, gold star to my boys for the longest album title ever. Second of all, have you heard “Love Me”?! I am SO ready for this long over-due, second album and excited to be seeing them live December 11th!!
